About Us

Providence Lutheran Church (ELCA) is conveniently located on Airport Highway in Holland, Ohio.  We are 2 miles west of I-475 and 4 miles east of the Ohio Turnpike (80/90) Swanton/Toledo Express Airport Exit.

We invite you to join us for worship on Saturdays at 5pm and on Sundays at 9am and 10:30am.  Come as you are.  You don't have to be Lutheran to participate in worship.  Holy Communion is held each week at every service and is open to all who believe, including visitors. Children who have been instructed in first communion are invited to partake as well.  Adults and children not receiving communion are welcome to come forward to receive a blessing.

Founded in 1958, Providence Lutheran Church was orginally organized as a mission of the American Lutheran Church.  In 1988 the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) was formed as a union of three North American Lutheran church bodies: the American Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Church of American and the Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches.  The word "evangelical" is an important part of our church's name.  It conveys that we are gospel-focused.  As Lutherans we focus on the gosepel boldly, humbly and with abundant love.
